"But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father."
John 15: 7 & 8(NLT)
Let's Pray
Lord, Thank you for your promise that if I remain in you and your words remain in me, I can ask for anything I want and it will be granted. I pray that you will help me to do good things with my life so that I will be your true disciple which will make you really happy. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Let's Talk
So here's a question for you to think about:
Do I believe God wants to answer my prayers? John 15: 7 & 8 tells us that he does. Here's another question: Do I believe He wants to give me a great life? YES, HE DOES!
The problem is that sometimes our idea of a "great" life and His idea don't match up. That doesn't mean we shouldn't tell Him the desires of our hearts. It says in Psalm 37:4 "Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires." If we're honestly seeking to follow God, he wants to give us our heart's desires.
What do you desire in your heart? Great friends? Fun Parents? A cute boyfriend? Acceptance from your parents? More affection from your parents? No more fighting at home? Friends who don't stab you in the back?
Write out your heart's desires in your journal and start asking God for help.
We'll talk more about this next time. Today, I just want you to start writing in your journal what you want and don't forget to thank Him for what he has already done.
Don't forget to send me a comment so i know you're visiting the blog!!! : )
C u next time-
